About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Developer to build and manage the data pipelines and analytics infrastructure that power enterprise reporting a data engineering–focused role distinct from a traditional Power BI report developer.
Key Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines using Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2 to ingest data from multiple sources
- Architect and manage Lakehouse/Data Warehouse solutions and OneLake storage
- Develop notebooks (PySpark/Python or SQL) for data transformation
- Design semantic models optimized for Direct Lake mode
- Implement data governance, security, and workspace access controls
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and Fabric capacity usage
- Integrate Fabric with Azure data services (Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL)
- Collaborate with BI developers and stakeholders on data architecture
- Maintain technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years as a Data Engineer / Fabric Developer
- Hands-on experience with Fabric: Lakehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, OneLake, Direct Lake
- Strong SQL; working knowledge of PySpark/Python
- Data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modeling (star schema)
- Experience with Azure data services
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices
Preferred
- DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) certification
- Working knowledge of Power BI/DAX
- Enterprise or multinational data environment experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
